NEW WORSHIP FRIDAY: Dwan Hill & Evvie McKinney, Citizens, Still Worship & Outbreakband

Mansion feat. Evvie McKinney

Dwan Hill recently released “Mansion,” a groove-infused single that showcases his musical skill and highly creative approach to worship music. He now presents a new version of the song featuring gospel artist Evvie McKinney, who adds her soaring vocals and energy to the track. McKinney is a multifaceted artist with roots in the church, soul, and pop, which all shine through “Mansion.” Having always been interested in Jesus’ use of the word “mansion” in the Scriptures and finding out the translation of the original word to be closer to “many rooms” through studying, Dwan Hill chose to use the King James’ description as inspiration and metaphor. From it, the Nashville-based singer-songwriter created an illustration of the restoration of all things in the new heaven and earth at Christ’s return. The joyous soundscape holds the theological backbone of the
songs, bringing listeners to grasp the wonder of Jesus’ return afresh.

“I wanted to bring a fresh, tangible portrayal of [Christ’s] second coming, one that looked forward to the beauty of our renovated world to come and the revelation of Christ’s eternal kingdom, which will truly and literally be heaven on earth,” Hill says.

“Mansion” is meant to bring fresh expectation, in the midst of the trauma and catastrophe in the world at large, for the people of God to sound a clarion call about the hope in eternal life through Christ.

“In no way do I support escapism or a disregard for immediate reality,” Hill concludes, “but I do believe Christ is the present day answer to the troubles we face, and His imminent return is a future reality in which we should all place our hope.”

“Mansion” was co-produced by Kevin Dailey, marking the first time Hill invited someone to produce his music alongside him.

here i am (acoustic)

Following two recent live acoustic singles, Citizens present a new version of “here i am.” The song was a defining track on the band’s latest record, “I Can’t Find The Edges of You,” as it embodied their through line to being more connected to the present moment rather than always looking ahead to what's next. With this new stripped-back version, Citizens invite their listeners to step into the wide horizons of a life filled with the presence of God, and our presence with Him.

Jesus (Akustik)

Outbreakband releases “Jesus (Akustik),” a new EP featuring five acoustic versions of the best loved songs from their 2022 studio album “Jesus.” These five tracks are the most important for the band as they have become the most impactful for their audience. This acoustic EP strips it all back to the answer found in the name of Jesus amidst the confusion going on around us.

“Someone once asked me what my inspiration is and I simply said, Jesus!” says Juri Friesen, Outbreakband’s leader. “It's so simple and yet so powerful. He is the source of all inspiration and stands for everything good in this world."

“Jesus (Akustik)” was created with both the Church and the community in mind, crafting songs intended for worship with an intimate soundtrack. Outbreakband have significantly inspired a new enthusiasm in the German youth’s worship as they infuse new creativity and musical inspiration in the national worship sphere with an overall pop rock influence and progressive sounds, establishing themselves across congregations and ages.

Piano (Volume 2)

Still Worship introduces its second volume of instrumental piano worship played and produced by Chris Cron of the CCM duo All Creatures. This new album continues revisiting Integrity’s Hosanna! Music’s rich catalogue and offers peaceful versions of worship classics such as “The Heart of Worship,” “I Speak Jesus,” “Do It Again,” and “Believe For It.” “Still Worship Piano Vol. 2” was created to be a personal sanctuary for listeners to pray, relax, meditate, or focus while working.
